Founded in 1980, The Deering Historical Society(DHS) has been supported by the effort of countless volunteers over the past 50 years. Our success is due to the support of many talented and dedicated people. We are always pleased to welcome new volunteers. We appreciate all help, even if you don’t have lots of time to share.  

DHS Membership is open to all including businesses. All memberships run from June 1 to May 31 of the following year.  All memberships including business sponsors can support DHS by submitting a membership form online along with your choice of membership. Payment can be received by using our submit payment button.

​Business Partner Memberships with the Deering Historical Society makes good sense for area business and corporations. Your support visibly enhances the cultural fabric of Deering and demonstrates your commitment to the community by enriching the lives of residents and visitors.

Ring the Bell is our fundraising campaign. Donations are designated to various repair and maintenance projects planned for our Society Building, formerly the East Deering Church built in 1830.
